Flavors of the Middle East
Flavors of the Middle East was the third iteration of my plant-based dinner party series that took place in my former home, Octave; a 4-story intentional co-living communal brownstone in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn, New York. This dinner party featured a fully plant-based, organic, farm-to-table, home-cooked 3-course menu inspired by some of my favorite Middle Eastern dishes including a drink pairing ( feat. both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks). The menu was as followed:
APPETIZER: Mediterranean Dip Sampler (Babaganoush, Muhammara, Hummus; Served with Pita Chips + Crudites
MAIN: Cauliflower + Mushroom Shawarma served over rice pilaf topped with Vegan Tzatiki
DESSERT: Halva 2 Ways (Cardamom-Chocolate & Pistachio-Rose)
DRINKS: Wine Pairing & Limonana (non-alcoholic)
